Meet the Newest Messinger

I named him Quigley, since he's going to rescue me from the mice.

I had a few hours to kill yesterday morning, so I went to the Humane Society. I saw two cats, a black one and a yellow one in the same cage, brother and sister, that were on sale because they had been there for awhile. I decided to "rescue" them. I took them out and held each one for a bit. They weren't too pleased and tried to jump out of my arms, but I righteously forgave them their rejection. In the cage next to them was a younger black cat that kept reaching through the bars to me. I tried to ignore him, since I had chosen my cats in distress, but the aide convinced me to at least hold him.

As soon as I picked him up, he put his paws around my neck and purred subliminally, "Choose me!"
"Choooooooooohurrrrrrssse Meeeerrrruh!"

He had me. I chose him.

What?!! And you didn't even call to tell me? She/he is really cute...how old? Does she/he catch mice yet? What does Jessie think of it all?

I keep checking back for more Quigley pictures, but see you've opted for monkey pranks instead. Hope the kitty kat is well. He sure is cute.

What a cute kitty! I'm sure Quigley Down Under is glad you rescued him. How many mice do you want him to kill?
