This side of the garage will have a roof at the same height as the rest of the house. The ridge line of the garage roof will move east a bit, but because the roof lines of this house are so squirrely anyway, you'll never notice.
Very creative!
Also, I suspect very expensive, since the rest of the house will have to get a new roof.
On the other hand, it really needed a new roof!

Ahhhh, very clever indeed. That roof is rather old--I remember when we did it!
What's the solution for keeping rain that runs off the garage from pooling next to the addition? I suppose there's some specialty gutter for that type of thing.
