Here's the baseline. These pictures were taken mid June. Between then and now, I took out about half the fence that you see, dug up most of the plants along the border and transplanted them to the front yard, and let the grass die.
While Sus and Alex were here, they helped me move the woodpile, take out the hardest part of the fence and move the rest of the fence posts. Sus moved most of the woodpile while Alex dug up posts and I hovered around trying to help. Abby was pretty cute and I wish I had taken pictures..Sus put a cushion on top of the wood in the wheelbarrow and set Abby on the cushion like a little queen and she got to ride back and forth, back and forth. She seemed pretty pleased with herself.

Well, it was a nice fence while it lasted. Sounds like it was as much work to take out as it was to put in!
I just flipped back through your old posts from past years and realized how much I miss the days when you wrote on your blog. You're such a good writer! Hope you find something inspiring to write about in the future...
